Mundy Cruising plc is owned and managed by Matthew and Edwina Lonsdale, children of the late 50’s, brought up on a fondly (and probably incorrectly) remembered regime of holidays building sturdy sandcastles on sunny British beaches.
They met in their final year at Oxford and have been together pretty much ever since. But the holidays have changed : for the last 25 years or so they have largely eschewed the beaches in favour of cruises, which were a personal passion long before they became a business one.
Matthew brings much broad business experience gained from a high-profile career in advertising to Mundy; Edwina’s career experience however has been cruise travel through and through. She first joined Mundy Cruising from Fred. Olsen in 1989, and she and Matthew led a management buyout just ten years later.
They live in a Victorian millstone in South London, and have a son, two cats and a belief – “Carpe Diem”.

Mr. Jamie Loizou
Having backpacked around South-East Asia, Australasia, India and South America, I’m always passionate about the prospect of visiting somewhere new. The combination of a different port of call everyday, the feeling that you are on your own private yacht, fantastic food, wonderfully attentive service and of course included watersports makes cruising with SeaDream my ultimate experience.
Ms. Diana Mammato
I have been in the cruising industry since 1975, so you could say that ‘Cruising’ is in my blood. I have traveled extensively, however I do not think that you can beat the sophistication of the Mediterranean. My passions are Italy, Arsenal and dogs – what a combination !!! My favourite Cruise Line is Hebridean – choose between the highlands of Scotland or venture further afield to the Mediterranean or Africa.
Ms. Sharon Trigg
I changed my career in the 90’s and entered the world of cruising with a cruise specialist for 7 years, I then moved to Silversea Cruises in London for 5 years. After joining Mundy Cruising in Oct 2005, this further opened my eyes to the luxury available at sea. Having been fortunate enough to experience various ships, my favourite is still the Silver Shadow.
Ms. Becky Hughes
I joined Mundy Cruising in 2005 after completing my Degree at Hertfordshire University where I studied Marketing with Spanish. I have always had a passion for travel and since joining Mundy Cruising I now have the cruising bug too! The friendliness of the crew and passengers aboard Boudicca makes this my favourite ship.
Mrs. Jenny Wellard
I joined Mundy Cruising in 2001 after working for 16 years for a large cruise line. I love a party atmosphere and have found this on Hebridean Spirit which is small, intimate and friendly. The food and service are excellent and being a small ship she can enjoy lovely itineraries in places larger cruise ships cannot visit.
Mrs. Caroline Roberts
Hailing from the Emerald Isle I’m no sun worshiper, so my favourite cruise experience was on board the all inclusive Regent Seven Seas Navigator exploring the New England itinerary. The thrill of sailing into New York city from the luxury of my private balcony will stay with me for a very long time.
Ms. Fleur De Mello
I have been very fortunate to be granted many privileged experiences of cruises and cruise destinations over the past 20 years. Each ship has its own unique appeal, and every itinerary its own travel experience. But for overall enjoyment of the whole cruise experience I would have to single out Crystal Cruises.
Miss Rachael Bracken
After I graduated from my marketing degree, I went travelling for 2 years, I worked in New Zealand and backpacked around Australia, South East Asia, America and Canada. I returned in January 2008, and the following month I was delighted to join Mundy Cruising as a marketing executive. I feel that nothing matches the food that is served on Crystal Cruises, the impeccable service that is consistently delivered and friendless of the crew makes cruising experience extra special and my personal favourite.
